HE LEADETH ME

My latest work is a labor of love—but more so a journey of surrender and trust. A humble attempt to delve deeper into Psalm 23. In completing this piece I found myself quietly grateful for the process. For the clay-like texture of the material that reminds – I too am being molded.

EDUCATING FOR BEAUTY

The Pontifical Council of Culture in Via Pulchritudinis states that ‘to travel the way of beauty implies educating the youth for beauty, helping them develop a critical spirit to discern the various offerings of media culture, and aid them to shape their senses and their character to grow and lead into true maturity.’

In response to the exhortation, my master’s research asked – how could educators lead students to Truth, Goodness, and Beauty, in and through the arts? Could the contemplative method of Visio Divina be ‘a way’ of Beauty – that which awakes wonder, and inspires creativity?
